ConklingHall Week: Day 1

Today, I would like to share with you our efforts around sprucing up this beloved 181 year old iconic building. With generous donations from last year’s fundraiser and the efforts of volunteers, we have painted the downstairs area where yoga classes, meetings, and smaller gatherings are typically held. The floors have been refinished and the kitchen, where so many of the wonderful meals we have shared originate, looks like new. In addition the bathrooms upstairs along with the entrance foyer have new floors and paint. None of this would have happened without the leadership and hard work of John and Gail Haines as well as Tim Lippert and Scott Green. The photos don’t do it justice, but you get the idea.

Next on our sprucing up agenda is painting the main hall, a very substantial undertaking. For this, we need your help. Please donate to help us buy a gallon of paint, or enough paint for a wall, or even for the very large ceiling. Friends of Conkling Hall is a 501(c)3 and donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Thanks for your support of the Hall over the years and for standing with us as we get ready for the post pandemic Conkling Hall.

PLEASE NOTE: The CARES Act, passed in response to the pandemic, allows even those who do NOT itemize deductions to deduct up to $300 in donations for 2020. A great opportunity to support Conkling Hall!
